The Egg is an Free Stars Frigate. It can be bought from the home base's shop, Smuggler Bases, repaired from beacons or crafted after finding blueprints from Exploration.
For player use, the lack of weapon slots limit use of Targeting Unit-Assisted weaponry without a built-in bonus. An example layout could use Small Plasma Cannons, and then Small Missile Launchers on Potato satellites.
In Frontier, the duel with this ship branches off of 8-5, and requires use of a ship that is Frigate class or smaller.
Strategy[]
Basically a slower, somewhat less squishy scout.
- Non-veterans are armed with dual Small Pulse Cannon M2s and a Quantum Detonator (Kamikaze bomb).
- Quantum Detonator-equipped foes will only detonate when at low health and close range. Finishing them off quickly or at range is advised as the explosion deals a high amount of damage and has a large radius.
- Veterans are armed with a Machine Gun and a Quantum Detonator (Kamikaze bomb). See above for strategy.
