The Spike is a Frigate of the Neganari faction (see Spike Mk2).
For player use, it is a swift ship that can mount a short range Lightning Cannon with high damage, though four Small Lightning Cannon M3s have even higher damage-per-second, and is usually a better choice than the Lightning Cannon.
In Frontier, the duel with this ship branches off of 2-5, and requires use of a ship that is Frigate class or smaller.
Strategy[]
The Spike attacks in very short range with lightning cannons. It is advised to destroy it from distance quickly before it gets close.
- Non-veterans are armed with a Small Lightning Cannon M2 and two Small Lightning Cannons, and have a fair speed.
- Veterans are armed with a Lightning Cannon. The lighter weight allows them to have a very high speed to catch their enemies quickly.
